THE BLIND FOLLOWERS

On the authority of `Adi Ibn Hatim (ra), it is reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) reciting this Qur'anic verse: "They have taken their rabbis and their monks as lords beside Allah and [they take as a lord] Al-Masih, Isa, the son of Maryam, yet they were not commanded but to worship One God: None has the right to be worshipped but He - Praise and Glory to Him: [Far is He] from having the partners they associate [with Him]" (Qur'an 9:31)...

and I said to him : "We don't worship them."

He (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam) said: "Do they not forbid what Allah has permitted and do you not then forbid it (to yourselves), and do they not make permissible for you what Allah has forbidden, and do you not then make it permissible (to yourselves)?" Click on image for full details

To Vote or Not to Vote?

So Election Day is just round the corner and you’ve probably had bare mans knocking on you door promising you the world if you vote for them! Other people are telling just go and vote to stop the BNP getting in. But as Muslims we need to ask ourselves what Islam says about voting in this system, whether it’s worth it and what the alternative is?

Banning the Burka

Belgium voted on banning the Burka, just a couple months after Switzerland voted to ban the minarets, while the Dutch MP who wants to ban the Quran is riding high in the polls. Where is this all heading??? Though only a few sisters where the Niqab, it’s being used as a sly tool to chip away at Islam and the Muslim’s in Europe and is only the tip of the iceberg. This storm is not going away but getting stronger and unless we Muslims stand up together, we’ll all just get blown little by little...

Defending Masjid Al Aqsa

Masjid Al Aqsa was the 1st qibla of Islam, the place where the Prophet Muhammad (saw) made the night journey to and the 3rd holiest site in Islam. Today, Masjid Al Aqsa is under occupation and under attack, Men over 50 are only allowed to pray on Fridays and the Israelis are digging underneath it and want to destroy it to build a temple!!! This is going on daily but what are we doing to defend this holy mosque, and it’s land? What are the Muslim rulers doing and where are our armies?

Death, the Destroyer of Pleasures

The only thing in life that's definite is...DEATH. The prophet (saw) said "Remember often the destroyer of pleasures", but rather than remember it, we run away from it, though it comes without warning. So have we prepared for the eventuality? shouldn't we be concerned about what happens after, we reach our Final Destination.
