Guests were Ayaz, Mehdi and Parvez.

We covered background to Ministry of Dawah, Marriage and the youth and how to connect to the youth generally. There were many calls and text msgs sent during and after the show asking questions. After the show we received text messages asking for the Ministry of Dawah website and where people can listen to their talks. Many people in the community were asking that evening after Taraweeh prayers about where the guests were from and how they liked their straight forward style.

We covered what Ramadan means to the youth, Drugs awareness and Ayaz entertained us with some impressions of what he thought certain famous people would say if they impressed Islam in the future. We had an excellent response with people calling and texting in questions during the show. One of the local internet cafés sent a text msg in describing the show as “Excellent… exactly what people need to hear” and said that he was recording the show and will be uploading it to his website. This show became a big talking point in the community and almost everyone who came into the radio station the next few days after the show commented on it – many people rated this show as the best youth show of all Ramadan."

Differences of Opinion! Difference in Deen??

Why are there so many opinions? How can there be so many opinons? Which one is right? Dont these opinions create disunity? Why do people hold different points of view so strongly? Why did Allah allow this disunity? How can we ever unite, when we all have difference opinions? Should we all have the same opinion? Wasn't there only one Prophet Muhammed - so why so many opinions? Are these all made up? So can't I pick and choose opinions to suit me? Why do people with different opinons end up arguing over which one is better or stronger? Why do I need to follow a scholar or opinion or madhab? Isn't that like creating sects or divisions in the religion? If you do, then dont you end up following the Iman or Scholar or Sheikh instead of Allah and His Messanger? Shouldn't we just follow Quran and Sunnah??

A common misconception is that if we live in an true Islamic Society now we will go back to the dayes of sand, camels and turbans... but is this the truth? Is Islam uncivilised? Backward? Anti-technology? anti-modernisation?

A common misconception is that religion is the cause of all wars - so they say let's get rid of it altogether! The less religion the better - so less people will have to argue about (?). Religions cause arguments.. Many people think that religion teaches its followers to think like - "I'm right.. You're wrong.. You should be killed.. I cant accept your opinion - only MINE is from God!". As these irrational silly beilefs are down to something you can never prove then the only option is that they fight.. so people of different religions fight.. right? I mean look at Palestine?

..Is this the truth? Is Islam like this? Come and find out and judge for yourself - as the trail continues...

Quran.. ON TRIAL! How do you plead?

Prosecution: “The Qur’an is an outdated book that can not be applied in the modern world. It promotes hatred and violence, it discriminates against non-believers and women. It is a backward and baseless book. It is an unpreserved document with many contradictions.”

Defence: “The Qur’an is a timeless miracle. It is a preserved text that has solutions for humanity’s problems. It provides the basis for peace, tolerance, justice, progress and prosperity.”

So many attacks on the Quran these days.. So we are going to have the court case style event! A Judge, Jury, Plaintiff and Defendant.. There will be a case brought against the Quran.. Is it a book of Hate? Violence? Contradictions? Brainwashing? Nonsense?
